• Usage data: anonymous data collected automatically by our hosting provider, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and time spent on the site.
• Local storage data: your theme preference (light/dark), saved favorite styles, and saved kaomoji are stored locally in your browser’s localStorage — this data never leaves your device and we cannot access it.

2. Cookies & Local Storage

Kactyl uses your browser’s localStorage — not HTTP cookies — to remember your preferences. Specifically:

• kactyl_theme — your light/dark mode preference
• ft_favs — your saved Fancy Text Generator styles
• km_favs — your saved kaomoji favorites

This data is stored entirely in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers. We currently use no advertising or analytics tracking cookies.

3. Third-Party Services

kactyl.com integrates the following third-party services:

• Google Fonts — loads the Inter typeface from Google’s CDN. Google may log your IP address when serving font files.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

4. How We Use Your Information

The anonymous usage data our hosting provider collects is used exclusively to:

• Monitor site performance and fix technical issues
• Understand which features and pages are most used
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, trade, or rent any user data to third parties.

5. Children’s Privacy

kactyl.com is a free typing tool accessible to all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
