This Cookie Policy explains what data Kactyl stores on your device when you use kactyl.com, and how you can control it.

What We Store

localStorage (not traditional cookies)

Kactyl uses your browser’s localStorage — not HTTP cookies — to remember your preferences between visits. Specifically:

• kactyl_theme — your light/dark mode preference (value: “light” or “dark”)
• ft_favs — your saved favorite styles in the Fancy Text Generator (a list of style IDs)
• km_favs — your saved favorite kaomoji (a list of kaomoji IDs)

This data is stored entirely in your browser, never transmitted to our servers, and has no expiry date — it persists until you clear your browser storage.

Third-Party Fonts

We load the Inter typeface from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser fetches these font files, Google may log your IP address in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do not control this data.

If you prefer not to load Google Fonts, you can disable external resources in your browser settings — the site will still work using your system sans-serif font.

Analytics & Advertising

Kactyl currently uses no advertising or analytics tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party tracking scripts. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated.

How to Clear Stored Data

To remove Kactyl’s localStorage data:

• Chrome / Edge: DevTools → Application → Local Storage → kactyl.com → Delete
• Firefox: DevTools → Storage → Local Storage → kactyl.com → Delete
• Safari: Settings → Advanced → Website Data → kactyl.com → Remove
